WOW, my FAL will eat that up like candy, the only problem is that a lot of places here in Kalifornia don't allow steel case, but hell that's a fricken great deal....

That's not wolf. Silver bear is head and shoulders above wolf.

www.aimsurplus.com has decent prices on .308. Decent for todays climate anyway. Still over priced but the lowest of the overpriced. ammo man is WAY to expensive.

I haven't been able to find SA in months... Do you have a site for that, because the SA stuff is top notch, and I'm down to about 200 rounds of it....

SA's been easily available during the recent months, with prices coming down to the $60-70 area. The Surplus Ammo guys are here every gun show. Last time I think I saw $65, though that's still far from the $30-35 levels of a couple years ago.

FALs will thrive on the South African R1M1 or Australian F4 or the British Radway Green (RG) or other NATO 7.62. Buy all you can.

Save the steel case stuff for your (ahem) Saiga.

Why the hell is wolf so dam cheap?? I seen that over and over again

Everybody else is pretty much in a same range.

But for some strange reason they throw wolf ammo out by the boat load.

Also I know some ranges do not like wolf rounds to be used. why is this??

Wolf is VERY VERY dirty. Most AR-15's do NOT like them. They also use STEEL case, which most ranges do not like you to use, not sure why though...

But Wolf in AK's shoots fine, because AK's eat anything you feed them....

Some ranges won't let you shoot Wolf rifle ammo because the bullets are BI-METAL...lead core, soft STEEL jacket, and coated with a thin copper plate. It tends to over-penetrate...sorta like armor-piercing stuff.

Wow......... I never knew that .... that would make sense on why a range would frown on their use

Has anyone had any problem using wolf rounds in a glock17?

For practice only and if it feeds okay, fine. Not for self-defense.

I'm thinking the same thing, because the shipping is free. Dunno, what shipping costs are, but I'm guessing that it's probably a wash if you go with cheaper ammo...

Why? Because wolf is cheap $HI+. It's crap. I mean that. Examples, with SA .223 my friends AR groups about 3/4 inch at 25 yards, with wolf he groups 2". Yeah, that drastic.

Same goes for my AK74, surplus 5.45x39 from bulgaria groups an inch at 25 yards, wolf 2.5 inches.

If you are looking for cheap blast away and who cares about your groupings or your life ammo, it's an option. Beyond that.. no way. Don't even get me started on dirty... that corrosive surplus 5.45x39 from bulgaria is MUCH cleaner than the wolf.

Wolf is NOT inexpensive ammo by any means... just 2-3 years ago wolf was running 50-70% cheaper than it is now.

I was tempted to by some brown bear .308 recently but I scored some surplus chilean stuff instead.

wolf is cheap crap. Period. Barnual and brown and silver bear are much better, but they are still sub par overall.
